Setting up a clear and progressive training path on Mercateam is a powerful way to ensure strong governance, accurate traceability, and a smooth onboarding process for new managers.
With MercaSkills, you structure who is trained on what, to what level of autonomy, and on which Mercateam features.

🧭 A 3-Level Journey: the MercaSkills Framework

🟦 Level 1 – Getting started

Goal: basic feature knowledge without diving into specific use cases.

Example criteria:

  • I can identify expired skills in the Information view

  • I can assign someone to a position in the schedule

  • I can consult a team’s skill matrix

  • I understand the difference between skills, authorisations, and job training

🟧 Level 2 – Autonomy

Goal: the user operates independently on their scope and no longer needs the Mercateam support team.

Example criteria:

  • Employees and teams are fully set up

  • Key users are trained according to their needs

  • Skills and authorisation matrices are digitized and validated

  • A job training has been launched in Mercateam

  • Shifts are planned, and the schedule covers several weeks

🟩 Level 3 – Maturity

Goal: the user becomes a local ambassador and leads the usage of the tool for their site or team.

Example criteria:

  • The user trains others on Mercateam

  • Internal Mercateam standards are co-built and documented

  • Regular audits (e.g. kamishibaï) are in place to monitor usage

  • They track usage and KPIs independently


How to implement it?

  1. Create your MercaSkills in Mercateam (e.g., Mercateam / Planning, Mercateam / Skill Management, etc.)

  2. Attach a validation questionnaire to each skill, based on the 3-level structure

  3. Assign MercaSkills to key users

  4. Use the questionnaires during training, onboarding, or governance reviews
