📝 Managing random questions

How can we ensure that the same questions are not always asked during a questionnaire ?

Mercateam allows you to generate random question banks when creating your questionnaires. This ensures that the same questions aren't always asked during assessments/audits, whether from one employee to another, or from one attempt to another for the same employee.

Add a question to the random question bank

When creating or editing a questionnaire, to add a question to your random question pool, check the "Add to random question bank" option as seen below :

Determine the number of random questions asked

When you add random questions to your pool, you must then determine how many random questions should be asked per assessment attempt. This setting is done on the right side of the questionnaire, in the "Mix of questions" section :

In the example below I have :

  • Total questions created = 10

  • Mandatory/required questions (= not marked as random questions) = 7

  • Random questions in my random question bank = 3

    • Number of questions asked from this bank = 1

  • Total number of questions asked in each round of the questionnaire = 8

One question will be randomly chosen from the three questions in our pool of random questions, each time you attempt to take the questionnaire.

Did this answer your question?
